Avenue D was an American electroclash duo from Miami, Florida. Based in New York City, the duo consisted of Debbie D. (Debbie Attias) and Daphne D. (Daphne Gomez-Mena). They were protégés of Larry Tee, and performed for his parties. Their music is an energetic, humorous and sexually explicit mix of hip hop, electro, and new wave. Avenue D formed in 2001, as part of New York's electroclash scene, which also included artists such as Fischerspooner, ADULT. and Felix da Housecat.

D-Sides is a 2007 compilation album by Gorillaz. The album contains B-sides and remixes from singles and bonus tracks for the band's second studio album Demon Days.

The "Grade D Beef" is a re-issue of their first album with an altered track presentation, having track 6 first as "6. WAR SUX " appearing striked/erased, and then 6. X-MAS", and indeed the track "WAR SUX 2001" from the original album is not included here .

The catalog numbers are only found at the CDs' inner rims. Even though no record label is apparent, the mentioned Avenue Dreams on "Totally Magic" is Avenue D's own label.
