Album: Heartbeat City (1984). Charted: 4 3. Get the Sheet Music License This Song. Larry from Plano, Tx'Drive' is one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever listened to. The melody and arrangement are absolutely captivating; from the first moment you hear it's opening you know whats coming - just plain knocks ya out. Obviously the lyrics can mean a million things to a million people (thats what makes it a classic).

Who's gonna tell you when it's too late Who's gonna tell you things aren't so great. You can't go on thinking nothing's wrong Who's gonna drive you home tonight? Who's gonna pick you up when you fall Who's gonna hang it up when you call Who's gonna pay attention to your dreams Who's gonna plug their ears when you scream. This was the third single from the album and became the band's biggest hit. When "Drive" was re-issued in 1985, the royalties from its re-issue were donated to the Band Aid Trust. The song was performed by bass player Ben Orr at the Philadelphia event of Live Aid in 1985, and it was used during the London event in a clip about the famine in Africa. The music video for "Drive" features model and actress Paulina Porizkova. She later became Ric Ocasek's wife.
