Julie London (Nancy Peck, September 26, 1926 – October 18, 2000) was an American jazz and pop singer and actress. She was noted for her smoky, sensual voice and languid demeanor. She released 32 albums of pop and jazz standards during the 1950s and 1960s, with her signature song being the classic "Cry Me a River," which she introduced in 1955. London's 35-year acting career began in films in 1944 and included playing opposite Gary Cooper in Man of the West (1958) and Robert Mitchum in The Wonderful Country (1959).

Album Julie London Sings Latin in a Satin Mood. When marimba rhythms start to play Dance with me, make me sway Like the lazy ocean hugs the shore Hold me close, sway me more. Like a flower bending in the breeze Bend with me, sway with ease When we dance, you have a way with me Stay with me, sway with me. Other dancers may be on the floor Dear, but my eyes will see only you Only you have that magic technique When we sway, I grow weak. I can hear the sound of violins Long before it begins Make me thrill as only you know how Sway me smooth, sway me now.
Some Julie London CD reissues are compromised by careless digital transfers, which is happily not the case here: The Fine and Mellow compilers have sourced from pristine studio master tapes, and the real stereo is true to period, absolutely genuine, most effective in Freeman’s muted mariachi trumpets on the Latin-satin set and in the broad theatrical sound stage for Rowles’ jazzy. enjoyed Julie's take on these classic spanish songs.
