You think that the world is alright but that's a lie 'cos we're afraid to die and that's alright. a beautiful record that brought me through literally the worst moments of my entire life. while dealing with entirely different situations, this album helped me see the other side of the things I was going through. the blame, the pain, the destruction, all brought on by the actions of one broken human, unto his friends and family. it made me realize the importance.

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die (sometimes shortened to The World Is a Beautiful Place, The World Is, or just TWIABP) is an American emo band formed in Willimantic, Connecticut, in 2009.

Harmlessness is the second studio album by Connecticut-based emo/indie rock band The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die. The album was released on September 25th, 2015, on Epitaph Records and Broken World Media. The title of the album references the band’s first EP Formlessness. Harmlessness Q&A. Mastered by Dan Coutant. Produced by Chris Teti. Engineered By Chris Teti.

They’re probably sick of hearing about how vital a part they were of the recent but Harmlessness, whose title is a play on the name of their 2010 debut EP, Formlessness, is a decisive move away from that aesthetic that avoids sounding calculated. On first listen, you may need the context of their more recent work to fully grasp the record’s magnitude (July’s Death to New Years is a de facto prelude to it), but it’s a self-contained work that should be taken as a whole. There’s no questioning the intensity of a record that starts, on You Can’t Live There Forever, with a pointed negation of the band’s name ( You think that the world’s all right-that’s a lie, ‘Cause we’re afraid to die, and that’s all right ), but those lines are immediately followed by an ascending melody that.

Pressed on yellow, white, or black vinyl distributed randomly on tour with Into It. Over I. The Sidekicks, and Pinegrove.
