com - Scott Stapp is known for his Grammy Award-winning band Creed's No. 1 hit songs, as well as, his tabloid publicized mistakes. In the past few years, the "With Arms Wide Open" songwriter has turned a corner with a recommitment to God. Recently, Stapp chatted with CB. om about his new solo album, Proof of Life, released by Wind-up Records (the mainstream label for Seether and The Darkness).
What's your proof of life? Are you playing the victim When you know that you volunteered? No excuse for your sickness It's your choices that got you here Are you caught in the headlights standing still? . You can't deny the truth that hits you right between the eyes So just name your price I'll give anything to justify the reason I'm alive What's your proof of life? What's your proof of life? Someone to save you? But no one came. What's your proof of life? You can't deny the truth that hits you right between the eyes So just name your price I'll give anything to justify the reason I'm alive What's your proof of life? What's your proof of life? You're the proof of life. Proof of Life" Track Info.
Scott Stapp returns with a solo effort after releasing Full Circle with his band, Creed in 2009. If anyone is even slightly familiar with rock music, it would seem unusual for one to be unaware of Creed, a band that has sold a substantial amount of albums (over 40 million) and garnered what seemed like endless exposure on video channels back in the early 2000s. Creed often had to deal with the criticisms of being compared to other bands or being labeled as a post-grunge endeavor in music. This album chronicles my struggles, my journey and it's the most honest records I have ever written. Proof of Life has notable moments that are found here and there with some tunes that many will appreciate.
f of Life is proof that Scott Stapp is among the great rockers. It’s also proof that this time he’s gotten it right. I made up my mind to face myself as a man and an artist. This record is my first no-holds-barred statement of exactly who I am Stapp says. That statement is simultaneously simple and complex. The simple message is a straight-up confirmation of Stapp’s prowess as rock and roller of the first rank. It was 1997 when My Own Prison, the debut multi-platinum Creed album, kicked off Scott’s musical journey in spectacular style. As the lead vocalist and sole storyteller, Scott sculpted his own aesthetic. From the start, his spiritual conflicts galvanized a worldwide audience. Three other mega-selling records followed-Human Clay (1999), Weathered (2002) and Full Circle (2009), in addition to Stapp’s successful solo venture, The Great Divide (2005).
Proof of Life' is being produced by Howard Benson (Halestorm, Papa Roach, . and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. Meanwhile, Stapp's Creed bandmates Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips are busy with their other band, Alter Bridge. That's band fourth album 'Fortress' will be released Oct. 8, and can be streamed exclusively on Loudwire. Scott Stapp - 'Proof of Life' Track Listing
