The Director's Cut is a series of reinterpretations of motion picture theme songs. Some versions are rather loyal to the sources (such as the eerie lullabye from The Night of the Hunter), while others offer radical takes on the music (such as the theme from The Godfather, tackled in part as an extreme metal song). Delìrium Còrdia is one extended song, with the concept of surgery without anesthesia. SKETCHBOOK 1" - This is rough demos of songs from the album Fantômas. These songs come from the same session as the Chariot Choogle cover and were largely used to send to the remaining members to learn the songs. Page 20, 16, 26, 9, 15, 2, 19, 25 and 7 were released on the Sugar Daddy Live split release with Melvins.

The director's cut! Or so might the tagline for a Mike Patton biopic run. But really, have we ever been prepared? Since Patton permanently shoved Faith No More off the deep end by taking the vocal reigns just in time for their hit-making The Real Thing album, he's refused to stay fixed in the limelight, opting instead to focus on more serious work with his pre-FNM band, the highly experimental Mr. Bungle. And, when not hanging out with John Zorn (having lighthearted chats about Japanese death-porn, presumably), he makes solo records.
Fantomas stand with their feet planted horizontally across the soft dimensions of your face, warping the shape of your skull and shoulders with their off-color explosions. With expectations withering on the floor, leaving a viscous stink, nothing in their hands is concrete. As a follow-up to their 30-song debut, throughout which vocalist Mike Patton never formed a single actual word, Fantomas offer these 16 new creations, all realigned versions of film soundtracks, ranging from the notorious theme to Rosemary's Baby to the obscure and peculiar wank of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
