Pulled Apart By Horses are a 4 piece post-hardcore band from Leeds, England. It could either be a sick torture method or, according to the Observer, "the best live band in Britain". The band began in Feb 2008, momentum built quickly and they grabbed the attention of Radio 1's Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq, the NME, Artrocker and many of Britain's indie labels.

Tough Love is the second album from the Leeds four piece Pulled Apart by Horses. It was recorded at Monnow Valley Studio in South Wales. It was released on 20 January 2012. In an interview with NME, Bassist Rob Lee explained that "This album is a lot more direct, we're better musicians and songwriters now. On the first one, we weren't that good as musicians, but now we've been touring relentlessly and we've got to be better players. We made our debut ourselves and it wasn't ambitious.

Pulled Apart By Horses made everybody stop, look and listen in 2012. Along with their pals Rolo Tomassi they've reinterpreted the grey area between metal and hardcore to produce some of the most defining alternative British, new music, the year had to offer. To celebrate their triumphs, including their joint headline appearance at Dot To Dot 2012, the band will re-release a deluxe version of their album "Tough Love". Well it has been one hell of a year for us and we're knee deep in writing now and looking forward to next year explains guitarist James Brown

As hard-working musical outfits go, they don't come much more conscientious than Leeds foursome Pulled Apart By Horses, a band whose nomadic tour schedule could have been devised by Alan Whicker. Having spent the last three years permanently on the road, stopping every now and then to record in between toilet breaks and such like, their relentless quest looks set to pay dividends. Having spent the best part of 2011 juggling the touring with crafting album number two, they've emerged with a record that can lay a serious claim to having released the first must-own long player of 2012. While not exactly rewriting the rule book or reinventing the wheel in terms of style or sound, 'Tough Love' does everything you'd expect from a Pulled Apart By Horses record and more.

Band also reveal the tracklisting and artwork for 'Tough Love'. Pulled Apart By Horses have spoken in depth about the recording of their second album ‘Tough Love’ and revealed its full tracklisting. The band will release the album on January 23, with the album’s opening track ‘. Speaking to NME about the album, bassist Rob Lee said of how it differs from their self-titled debut: This album is a lot more direct, we’re better musicians.
