Uneven Structure released an EP titled 8 that was pure, unadulterated Meshuggah worship. I don’t know if they were quite taking this seriously. I suspect they were merely having some fun and decided to release this to the public - and it went over well enough that it garnered them some attention. They announced soon after that they would be recording a debut album, and that it would be NOTHING like 8 in any way, shape or form. Such a thing peaked the curiosity of many, including me, and the wait was FUCKING LONG AND SEEMINGLY ENDLESS. Februus is not an album, despite my referring to it as such previously. This is a FIFTY-FIVE MINUTE DJENT EPIC split into segments. Make no mistake, this is one long cohesive song.
Uneven Structure – Februus (2011). Posted by NewAlbumReleases. net On October - 25 - 2011. Artist: Uneven Structure. CD2: 01 – Dew Upon Shapeless Bounds 02 – Winds From Untold Memories 03 – Promises Of Our Early Days.
With their debut album Februus, French metallers Uneven Structure are about to change all of that. Combining the atmosphere of bands like Pink Floyd with the intensity of Meshuggah, the French sextet have created an album that is both brutal and beautiful, often at the same time. Opener and first single ‘Awaken’ bursts out of the speakers after an ambient introduction; serving as an excellent microcosm for what Uneven Structure are all about in the space of two minutes. With Februus, Uneven Structure have achieved the perfect medium between crushing heaviness and beautiful ambience. The end result is djent done properly and Uneven Structure are well deserving of the copious amounts of praise that will come with the release of their debut. Februus is a phenomenal release and will most definitely go down as one of the albums of 2011.
Since 2013, Uneven Structure has been working on the follower of Februus. This next step, a full concept album called La Partition is to be released in early 2017. Within "La Partition" you can hear and feel the progress and growing the band made since "Februus", due to the fact that their sound is now even more complex and perfectly arranged, catchy, experimental and technically enhanced, but also groovy. A perfect combination of the hardness of Metal with the elaborate techniques of Prog and the atmospheric sounds of Ambient. Not only has the sound of Uneven Structure been growing and changing with this new.
Album (Studio full-length). 3). Davilian (85/100). Unlike the other so-called 'ambidjent' bands, Uneven Structure sustained some primitive grooves which makes djent really a genre.

Listen free to Uneven Structure – Februus (Awaken, Frost and more). By marrying beautiful, haunting ambience with jarring, down tuned riffs, the band have essentially taken the stereotypical djent sound and done it properly
