The soundtrack to the movie The Crow was released in 1994. The album featured covers, including Nine Inch Nails who covered Joy Division's "Dead Souls", Pantera who covered Poison Idea's "The Badge", and Rollins Band who covered Suicide's "Ghost Rider", which is about a Marvel Comics character. Rage Against the Machine re-recorded their 1991 B-side "Darkness of Greed" and renamed it "Darkness" for this soundtrack. The Cure also wrote the song "Burn" for the movie.

The Crow Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
Album · 1994 · 14 Songs. The soundtrack to the '90s fantasy-noir flick The Crow is a fittingly dark reflection of the story's comic-book roots. The Cure's "Burn" sets the tone, unraveling as a brooding, goth-styled manifesto, before Nine Inch Nails roll out a cover of Joy Division's "Dead Souls" that chills with haunting guitar lines and Trent Reznor's foreboding vocals. Again nodding to the movie's graphic-novel heritage, the Rollins Band's guttural take on Suicide's electro-punk epic "Ghostrider" resonates like a demonic incantation
