Runaway is the third single off of Aurora’s debut album. It was, I think, at school in 9th grade. We were going to make a music project, and that resulted in Runaway. I didn’t like school, I didn’t like homework or bringing schoolwork home, and then I decided to just make a song. And it makes more and more sense, especially when I’m on tour, and thats very nice.

She told The Independent that she wrote the song after she "wandered off for a while. For me now, that song is about my actual home where my parents are," the Norwegian singer added.
