Fuck Nas by Cormega feat. You're Getting a Little Too Smart by Detroit Emeralds (1973). was sampled in. Le Chant De L'amertume by Tandem (2001).
Cormega and Screwball remade that song in 2000 without NaS. Then 2004 NaS remade the song for the I10th Anniversary release of Illmatic rerecording his original '94 verse then adding 2 more verses. That's why at the end of the 1st verse Nas says this verse is 10 years old. Phil Phillmatic Wilson said 5 years ago: This is all wrong this song was actually recorded in 94 when Cormega first came home, a group called Kamakazee was also on the track.

The album, which featured predominant mafioso rap-themes and production from Dr. Dre and the Trackmasters, was criticized for its mainstream, pop-orientation. Their debut album was the group's only release and they disbanded in 1999 with each member continuing their solo careers. Cormega had been ousted from the group and was replaced by Nature prior to recording The Firm's debut, due to artistic differences between him and Nas, as well as contract disagreements with Nas's manager Steve Stoute
