The Next Day is David Bowie’s 24th studio album, marking his first new material in near a decade. It was recorded by Bowie and producer Tony Visconti in secret sessions over two years in New York City – where Bowie had lived since 1992 – and thus when announced, on January 8, 2013 (Bowie’s 66th birthday), came as a surprise to the press and fandom who had thought the singer had retired. The Next Day was released in March 2013 to critical acclaim and topped charts worldwide (including Bowie’s native UK; in the US, it was behind Bon Jovi’s What About Now). The Next Day Q&A. Speaking to The Guardian following the album’s release, Visconti said: The album is eclectic, it’s got five really blistering rock tracks. The rest is really mid-tempo, mysterious and evocative. He’s been obsessed with medieval English history, which, believe it or not, makes great material for a rock song.

The Next Day" is a single by English rock musician David Bowie, from his 24th studio album, The Next Day. The song caused controversy before the single's release due to its perceived mocking of Christianity, which some Christians considered obscene. Both sides featured the track. The single reached 179 on the UK Singles Chart.

Longtime producer Tony Visconti says Bowie may do a single concert to celebrate new LP. By. Andy Greene. Tony Visconti has been producing David Bowie‘s albums since Space Oddity in 1969. They’ve worked together on many of Bowie’s greatest triumphs, including Heroes, Young Americans and Scary Monsters. After a long break, they joined forces again in the early 2000s for Heathen and Reality. Two years ago, he started working with Bowie on his long-awaited new album, The Next Day. Rolling Stone spoke to Visconti about the pair’s secret sessions, how medieval English history inspired some of the songs and why it’s unlikely that Bowie will tour – though a single show remains possible

David Bowie's eagerly awaited new album is thought-provoking, strange and filled with great songs. What The Next Day has that perhaps Lodger didn't is something more prosaic. Whatever else he's been doing, clearly at least some of the last decade has been spent carefully crafting inarguable tunes.

The Next Day (оригинал David Bowie). Другой день (перевод Dan UndeaD из Northrend). Do not cry" she begs of him goodbye yeah. Не плачь" – а она умоляет его не уходить. All that day she thinks of his love yeah. И весь этот день думает только о его любви. They whip him through the streets and alleys there.

It is an enormous pleasure to report that the new David Bowie album is an absolute wonder: urgent, sharp-edged, bold, beautiful and baffling, an intellectually stimulating, emotionally charged, musically jagged, electric bolt through his own mythos and the mixed-up, celebrity-obsessed, war-torn world of the 21st century.
