No Way Out is the debut album by the American garage rock band The Chocolate Watchband, and was released in September 1967 on Tower Records (see 1967 in music). It blended both garage and psychedelic rock influences, and was marked by distorted guitar instrumentals that were early examples of protopunk. It features the band's harder-edged interpretations of songs, with only three original compositions.

No Way Out (Puff Daddy album). No Way Out is the debut studio album by American rapper Puff Daddy. It was released on July 1, 1997, by Bad Boy Records and Arista Records.

Released in September of 1967, No Way Out came at the end of the band's first 15 months of existence, a period that encompassed the recording and release of four singles of generally extraordinary quality, and as good as anything heard from any garage band anywhere during that period. Just two of those single tracks, "Are You Gonna Be There (At the Love-In)" and "No Way Out," ended up on the original ten-track LP, but even they could (and should) have been the core of an immensely powerful LP.

No Way Out is a living document of the most tumultuous period in Bad Boy’s run. It embodies the complex mix of emotions felt while persevering through great trauma amid triumph. It's a record that splits itself in two trying to capture a gaudy lifestyle and the devastation of loss all at once, equal parts funeral pyre, signal fire, and beach luau. Statistically, this was one of the best years of my life, Puffy told Rolling Stone in December ’97, but personally, it was one of the worst. I would rather not have this. When the dust settled and No Way Out was on its way to going septuple platinum, SPIN ran a January ‘98 feature titled The Mourning After, taking stock of the post-Biggie Bad Boy climate and wondering at what point public grieving became shameless promo. Marketable mourning, as Sia Michel called it, contributed at least in part to the ongoing sales spike.
