If you’ve ever put off an important task by, say, alphabetizing your spice drawer, you know it wouldn’t be fair to describe yourself as lazy. After all, alphabetizing requires focus and effort - and hey, maybe you even went the extra mile to wipe down each bottle before putting it back. And it’s not like you’re hanging out with friends or watching Netflix. You’re cleaning - something your parents would be proud of! This isn’t laziness or bad time management. This is procrastination

Let’s be honest, shit is f ked and we have to live with i. In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn’t sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is-a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today.

Let's start by getting the basics nailed down. Procrastination is the act of delaying or postponing a task or set of tasks. So, whether you refer to it as procrastination or akrasia or something else, it is the force that prevents you from following through on what you set out to do. Why Do We Procrastinate? Ok, definitions are great and all, but why do we procrastinate? What is going on in the brain that causes us to avoid the things we know we should be doing? This is a good time to bring some science into our discussion.

Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished by a certain deadline. It could be further stated as a habitual or intentional delay of starting or finishing a task despite knowing it might have negative consequences. It is a common human experience involving delay in everyday chores or even putting off salient tasks such as attending. Nearly a quarter of the subjects reported that procrastination was a problem for them regarding the same tasks  .

Procrastination is a complex problem. Learn what causes it (hint: not laziness or poor self-control) and you can overcome procrastination. The End of Procrastination book is dedicated to improving your long-term motivation and helping you get the most out of your life. Over 100,000 copies sold worldwide. Western Michigan had a very healthy music scene throughout the '60s and '70s, with Georgia-born soul legend Jackey Beavers (aka Jackie Beavers) and producer Palmer James forging that area's soul identity. Beavers produced the recording by this obscure band from Battle Creek and issued their only 45 on his Jaber label. The rhythm section of Wright, Teasley and Scurlock were better known as Jr. Walker's All Star group, and they made this recording shortly before leaving the bandleader's ranks. The Us would share ties with the Apachies , for both bands included at some point members of Jr Walker's All Stars. Trombonist Jack Hill would be involved in both bands and would help create the unique arrangement on 'Let's Do It Today.' The Us head into psychedelic regions in the final minutes of the song that have never been heard since they were recorded over 30 years ago. I wrote it in less than half a day to get some royalties remembers Scurlock. We were experimenting with tuning, a quarter tone below the note.
